Your Day-to-Day Duties
This role involves preparing examination rooms and performing patient rooming duties, including taking vital signs and collecting important data.
Handling and documenting medications and immunizations safely and accurately is a core function, after suitable training and competency checks.
You will perform EKGs, carry out lab tests, and ensure patient records are precise and up to date, keeping communication open with the healthcare team.
Facilitating appointments, providing pre-approved education materials, and managing supplies are regular parts of the workday.
Your schedule may include 8 or 12-hour shifts and involves direct and indirect patient care, sometimes requiring flexibility for night or irregular hours.
