Day-to-Day Work and Responsibilities
The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, and amenities to company standards. You’ll respond to resident service requests and handle repairs or preventative maintenance tasks.
Your routine includes preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents, managing inventory of supplies, and documenting your work consistently. Attention to detail is required to inspect tasks and follow safety procedures.
Additional responsibilities involve keeping common areas clean, painting curbs, and performing general cleaning. You’ll also inspect contractor work for quality and help conduct routine property inspections to keep things running smoothly.
Physical activity is a key part of this role, including lifting up to 50 pounds with help, working indoors and outdoors, and occasionally being on-call during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Required certifications include EPA Type I, II or Universal, plus any local licenses needed. A driver’s license for operating company vehicles may also be necessary depending on the property.
